Overlooking the Langebaan lagoon, The Farmhouse Hotel offers guests a coastal farmstead experience with the choice of eight different types of rooms. A games room, gym, swimming pool and parking area are available to guests.


Location
Located approximately 1 hour 10 minutes along the coast from Cape Town, The Farmhouse Hotel is 200m from the lagoon and approximately a 35 minute walk or 7 minutes drive to the windsurfing and kitesurfing centre. 
 

Accommodation
The rooms at The Farmhouse Hotel are inviting and comfortable spaces with a West Coast, farm- style finish. The hotel provides accommodation for couples, families, friends, single travellers and business guests. Room rates are inclusive of breakfast.

Majority of the rooms feature a telephone, a refreshment station, hairdryer, wireless internet, satellite television with selected channels and an electronic safe. For families the hotel offers the use of day beds suitable for children up to the age of 14. There is the choice of 8 styles of rooms, these include:

Garden Rooms, these pet friendly rooms are light and airy with views of the Langebaan lagoon. These rooms have separate garden entrances and an outside seating area. The Garden Rooms also include international plug points, misting fans and panel heaters and WiFi at an additional charge.

Classic Rooms, these rooms have an antique anthracite stove, an en-suite bathroom with a shower and views over the lagoon. The rooms are pet and child friendly; they feature a day bed and can accommodate another person with an extra charge.

Luxury Rooms, with views over the lagoon these rooms offer an en-suite bathroom with a shower and bath and an antique anthracite stove. The rooms are child friendly they feature a daybed. 

Superior Rooms, are spacious, air conditioned rooms with views over the lagoon, furnished with a fire place and an en-suite bathroom. The rooms are child friendly and feature a day bed. 

Franks Wightman Cottage, this detached two floor and two bedroom cottage with en-suite bathrooms, a terrace and views of the lagoon can accommodate up to 6 persons. The cottage offers privacy yet still enjoys the main hotel facilities. It is equipped with a kitchenette, a microwave, is pet and child friendly and has two day beds in the lounge. Accommodates up to 6 persons.

The Farmstead, is located in the original farmstead, equipped with 2 bedrooms, a lounge, dining room table, three twin beds and one king bed, a bathroom with a separate shower and bath and views over the lagoon.

Kite Mansion Penthouse, is a luxury three bedroom house with views over the lagoon that has a fully equipped kitchen and 3 bedrooms, two with double beds and one with a king size bed, an en-suite bathroom and walk in wardrobe. The living area opens up to a spacious balcony with a built in braai (a South African BBQ) and access to the swimming pool, gym and games room. The Penthouse is pet and child friendly and benefits from access to the main hotel services. Accommodates up to 6 persons. 

Travellers Rooms, these are perfect for those wanting to stay at a good location for a reasonable price.

The hotel features a lounge and games room to relax and socialise in, a gym fitted with a variety of premium Techno gym equipment, a swimming pool with loungers, enclosed parking area for guests and a boatyard. WiFi is complimentary. 


Windsurfing/Kitesurfing/Sailing/SUP
Approximately a 10 minute drive or 30 minute walk to the windsurf and kitesurf centre in Langebaan Bay.


Our Opinion
This is a 18th century farmhouse renovating in the early 90s extending and provide a unique mix of Cape colonial architectural, character and modern facilities. We loved the hearty breakfasts and great wine list.
