Sportif understands and respects the importance of your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we may collect from you, how we will look after that information, and how we may use your data. The following Policy tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

Please note that all personal data captured will be used and held in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 to the best of our ability. 

What information will Sportif collect from me?

The information we will typically collect will consist of; your name, email address, postal address, telephone and mobile number, gender, date of birth, as well as information collected about your holiday preferences. We also collect information about the transactions you undertake, including details of payment cards used.

Sportif retains personal data for 7 years, after a customer’s last interaction with us, unless you exercise your right to be forgotten (anonymization). Data is retained for this period to ensure we can comply with any legal obligations that may arise where we are required to share historic data.

Personal data is stored securely in a central data centre and is only shared with third parties that are vital to the fulfilment of our contracted services to customers, such as our agents and partners in your holiday destination for example hotels and agents in resort.

We explicitly outline that by consenting to receive marketing communications, you are consenting for your personal information to be processed. This is outlined at the point you provide your data and marketing contact consent when we email you asking if you wish to join our newsletter database for the communication of offers and news about our holidays and services. When will Sportif collect information from me?

We will collect information from visitors to this website who provide us with their details in order to receive online newsletters and email notifications, register for promotions, provide us with feedback, through the use of online forms, online competitions, completion of paper or online surveys, when you email us directly with your details.

We will collect personal information from you when you telephone or email us enquiring about a booking. We will also collect personal information about you when you make a confirmed booking, or make a purchase on the telephone, via email or letter. The provision of this personal information for the specific purpose of a travel booking or purchase is deemed as a contractual requirement in order to fulfil your holiday booking. The failure to provide personal data for these purposes will result in a failure to complete the booking process.

We will only contact you with marketing information about goods and services offers by Sportif, similar to those which were the subject of a previous sale to you, or preferences that you have stated you wish to receive information about, and that we think will be of interest or relevant to you.

We do not share or sell your personal information with third-parties for them to market their products/services to you.

Our site contains links to and from the websites of our principals and other third parties related to your holiday or information relevant to our services. Where is my personal data stored?

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). It may also be processed by organisations operating outside the EEA that work for us or for any of our suppliers (e.g. airlines, hoteliers, etc.). Countries outside of the EEA may not have the same level of privacy laws as exist in the UK. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy. All information you provide to us is stored on secure servers.  

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site and any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

We will retain your personal data for a period of approximately 7 years. This time frame is based on the average number of years between first and most recent travel dates and assumes contact between the customer and data controller is relevant to you, the customer.

How is my information disclosed?
