There are few areas in the whole of Europe that can hope to match the wind that Tarifa enjoys - buzzing on and off the water in the summer and relaxed during the winter months. Golf de Rosa on the Costa Brava, has one of the longest windsurfing and kitesurfing beaches and is popular for families in the summer months.

Tarifa has locations for both disciplines of windsurfing and kiting with wave jumping and flat water sailing according to your needs. Blessed with cyclonic winds throughout the year and temperatures similar to the Canaries in the summer months but dropping sharply during the winter season. The whole area offers a wealth of different sporting activities for you and any non sailors, with horse riding, mountain biking, free rock climbing and golf available amongst others. The advantage of its proximity to home, with short and regular flights, make Tarifa an ideal choice for a short break as well as a longer holiday.

Known to many windsurfers from Europe as a reliable area for wind in the summer, is the Golf de Rosas on the north eastern coast, only 30 kms south from the French border. The huge bay is blessed with long stretches of sandy beaches and the combination of the Tramontana wind blowing off the Pyrenees in spring and autumn, and the local thermal called “Garbi” that blows in summer. Conditions are ideal for all levels with excellent beginner and kid's sports packages.
