Sailing Spot and Conditions
The Meltemi wind blows all summer long and is light in the morning, around F2-3, when beginners are well catered for. Around midday the wind increases to F4 and the waves start to swell, giving perfect bump and jump conditions. In the afternoon the wind strengthens up due to thermals and blows cross-offshore from the right, perfect for slalom sailing on flatwater; building to Force 4 - 6 by mid/ late afternoon. The long, golden sandy beach, shelves steeply to the flat water bay, with more advanced sailors enjoying the constant wind a few hundred meters out from the beach.
