The newly featured Shams Surf and Dive Lodge is set right next to the windsurf centre, on the beach, within the grounds of the Shams Safaga All inclusive hotel. Ideal for those wanting a beach side location for  windsurfing, kitesurfing, scuba diving and SUP holidays to the Red Sea. Located by the beach, the windsurf centre is right next door and the kitesurf centre a short walk along the beach, with superb sailing conditions in front of the accommodation with swimming pool, bar and restaurant on half board basis.

Location
Approximately 45 minute drive south of Hurghada airport, 7km north of Safaga located directly on the long sandy beach within the grounds of the Shams Safaga resort. Located next to the windsurfing centre and the windsurfing sailing area, with separate kitesurfing and swimming zones a short walk along the beach.

Accommodation
The Shams Lodge has been specifically built with water sports guests in mind for windsurfers, kitesurfers, snorkellers and scuba divers. With 56 bungalows offering double and twin bedded rooms in completely renovated bungalows with private terrace with loungers, en suite private bathroom with skylight walk-in shower and WC, hairdryer, individually adjustable air-conditioning, safe box, flat screen LED satellite TV, WiFi, tea and coffee making facilities, 2 complimentary water bottles are suppled per room on arrival and mini bar with items chargeable locally. 1 bath towel and 1 beach towel are provided per person on arrival. Two Family Bungalows with connected doors are available to reserve in advance. All rooms are non-smoking.

Facilities
The Shams Surf and Divers Lodge is aiming to provide sustainable accommodation with half board (breakfast and dinner), private pool and chill out area by the beach. The restaurant has an indoor dining area and outdoor terrace faciing the sea, with continental and American style breakfast, lunch (chargeable) and dinner. On top of the restaurant, in the upstairs bar, there is also a separate terrace with superb views, where you can order coffee, fresh juice, local drinks and enjoy a Shisha in the bedouin corner.  Check in is at a separate desk at Shams Safaga Resort. There will be no all inclusive bracelet given, as this accommodation is not part of the all inclusive packages at the Shams Safaga hotel. Drinks are payable locally and served by the glass, in the restaurant and bar area of the Shams Lodge. Water is available there from a dispenser.

The Shams Spa Centre is independently managed and located at the sister hotel, the Sham Imperial which is next door. They offer an Aquatronic indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam bath, Egyptian Hammam, sauna, jacuzzi, beauty salon and specialist massage treatments such as a Chocolate Oil, Oasis Stone, Pharaoh Massage or full body Sea Weed scrub. All services are payable locally for an additional charge. The Shams Lodge guest are also able to use the sports facilities of the Shams Lodge hotel such as beach volleyball, gym and billards. WiFi is available free of charge with the code given at reception.

Windsurfing/Kitesurfing/SUP
The windsurf centre is located next to the accommodation, approximately 50 meters and the kitesurf centre is located next to the sister Shams Prestige hotel, around 600 meters walk along the beach. More >

Our Opinion
With less than 60 rooms sharing the accommodation with other watersport enthusiasts, this offers a new concept for surf and eco minded guests to stay in the same location, right next to the beach. We love the modern design in the newly built rooms.
