The 2025 Peter Hart windsurfing clinic to the amazing Caribbean island of Tobago in the southern Caribbean sea.
Tobago is ideal for intermediate to advanced windsurfers wishing to enhance your stance, starts, gybes, transitions, basic freestyle, jumping and all-round sailing skills at this great venue then Tobago is the place for you.
Peter Hart - The Original Technique Guru
There are some who have tried to claim the title but Harty, with no question of a doubt, is the original technique guru. He was the architect of the RYA’s original advanced teaching system, wrote the manuals and made the videos. He was also the first to start doing specialist clinics at home and abroad.
Course details
Peter creates each course organically, depending on the conditions and the energy levels of those participating. However a typical day would be:
► A little land-based theory, sometimes with use of a simulator, identifying and correcting any issues thrown up by the video playback from the day before.
► A personal, pre-sailing brief so you know what you're working on as you go on the water.
► For the first session Peter is based the shore or in the shallows so he can video and offer instant feedback.
► In the afternoon, sessions are less structered, where Peter will sail with you and get up close and personal!
► Early evening or the following morning, everyone gets to see their personal video playback, which Peter has edited to show relevant moves that need working on with good examples to give you a comparison and a positive image.
► At the end of the course you will have access to all your footage.
"The conclusion I’ve reached after 20 years of running clinics is that everyone wants to become a better windsurfer and they want to have a good time doing so," says Peter. "In my experience the two go together – the broader the smiles and louder the ‘whoops’ the more receptive people are to learning. On a PH clinic we never lose sight of the fact that it IS your holiday."
Typical Course Level
Intermediates to Advanced
To get the best out of this clinic you should be able to plane in the harness. This is an ideal location to learn technique with foot straps, water starts and carve gybes or any other moves you would like to work on.

The Conditions
On a good day, mainly from December through to June, the conditions are some of the finest in the Caribbean. The windsurfing launch is from the Pigeon Point National park. it is protected by Bucco Reef which lies up to one and half miles off one of the best beaches in the Caribbean. Inside the vast lagoon, the flat, crystal clear, shallow water is a sailor's dream. Outside the reef there is some chop. The wind is steady side shore from the left making it easy to tack out and return.
The Centre
Located on an idyllic white sand beach this is Caribbean paradise with swaying palms, cooling steady trade breezes. The Fanatic centre provides the latest boards with a range of sizes and sails. It is minutes to walk across the sandy to launch. As a protected national park, Pidgeon Point has no hotels just palm trees and a bar serving snacks to keep refreshed off the water. At the end of the day, relax over a cocktail and watch the setting sun.

The Social
The centre and is set on the idyllic protected national park of Pidgeon Point with no hotels, just palm trees and a bar serving snacks to keep refreshed off the water. At the end of the day, relax over a cocktail and watch the setting sun. In the evening, head out to the local bars and restaurants in Crowne Point. It's a relaxed place and the ever present reggae music makes for a party atmosphere. The local capital town of Scarborough has a range of local and duty free stores. Market day is great for soaking up the atmosphere and buying some local produce.
