Jericoacoara Kitesurf Centre - Brazil - Jericoacoara, Brazil & Americas

The kitesurfing centre in Jericoacoara is located next to the superb windsurf centre, fully stocked with the latest Cabrinha kit. The centre is the only IKO recognised kitesurf centre in Jeri Village. The Kite Zone is located just beyond the famous dune area with shuttle, rental, instruction, storage and cleaning service available.

Location
The check in for equipment rental and instruction packages is at the main centre next to  Jeri beach upwind of the dune. 


Kitesurf Zone
The Jeri Kite zone is the only kitesurfing area in front of Jericoacoara village, located just beyond the famous sunset dune. Due to natural shrinking of the dune this has created a more consistently windy and smoother sailing area. With the wind that has blown downwind, that has created a natural, flatwater lagoon area. This is a separate area from the windsurf zone and it is forbidden to windsurf within 500m from the coast. Kitesurfers who have prebooked rental or instruction can check in at the main centre next to the windsurf zone and then are able to take a shuttle at certain times during the day. More >
 

Facilities
Kiters use the main centre for checking in for rental and instruction and storage. A second sattelite mobile centre is provided to store your gear and provide shade and cold water right on the water’s edge. The main centre has a restaurant that is stocked up with snacks, sandwiches, shakes, main course meals, a hot buffet, desserts, ice cream, and more. There is also a bar with a happy hour and amazing views of the sunset. To relax the centre has a green area and sundeck with loungers and music to chill out after a day on the water. The centre provides free WiFi throughout.
 

Services
Kitesurf lessons and private lessons from beginner up to expert level are available. The centre provides rental equipment that is available to use for tuition. Harnesses, gloves and other required accessories are not available for rental so we recommend that you bring your own. There is also a rescue service available if needed. 

Own Equipment Storage space is available for those with their own equipment at an additional charge. (This is required to be booked in advance to guarantee availability.) This includes a boat shuttle to the Jeri kite zone which takes a few minues, safety surveillance while your ride, free rescue plus overnight kite cleaning service. The storage service fee cover 1 board / 2 kitesurf.

Other activities include windsurfing, SUP, Surfing, Kayaking and Mangrove Tour, which is a 3hr morning tour which takes you paddling through Mangroves and along the sand dunes. Kite surfaris are also available. The centre offers a Mangrove Tour with SUP and Kayaks
 

Kit Range

The centre offers the latest Cabrinha kites plus twintip, wave and foil boards. 
 

Rental

Rental is available for independent (IKO equivalent Level III) kiters. A safety check will be made at the centre before equipment is released to ensure you are able to kitesurf independently and self rescue. For those not reaching the required level, rental packages will be exchanged for the equivalent value in lessons.
 

Kite pass included kite storage, assistance, shuttle to kitespot, surveillance and discount on rescue services.

Please note: Harness, gloves and any other accessories are not available for rental and it is recommended you bring these with you.

Discounts: Combo Rates are available offering a 60% discount on Kitesurf rental rates when booking windsurf rental at the same time (for one person). Double usage (two persons sharing 1 equipment) is not permitted for the windsurf + kitesurf combo.

Tuition

Kitesufing Tuition: Beginners - advanced.
For quality and safety reasons, the centre only offers private lessons. All lessons include full equipment (board, kite, vest, helmet & harness), except Group Supervised Riding. For this course there is a maximum of 3 people per group and the instructor will supervise from a boat and give feedback/ tips afterwards.
