The Aluna Zanzibar is a small, traditional style accommodation, with 21 rooms, minutes from the stunning Pale beach with kitesurfing and wing surf centre. With swimming pool, restaurant, bar, roof top terrace and choice of double, twin, family and apartment style rooms

The accommodation features natural designed buildings with furniture made from dhow wood and decorations from recycled materials.
 

Location
Located in the centre of Paje with a short few minutes walk from the beach. It is not beach front but has superb sea views from the second floor roof top terrace. Zanzibar airport is around 1 hour 15 minutes drive (50km).


Accommodation

The accommodation is set around a pool and sun deck terrace. Room categories include Pool View Standard rooms with Twin or King size beds. Family Room and Apartment each with air conditioning, a fan, tea and coffee maker and in room safe. All rooms are non-smoking.

Pool View Standard Room (appox. 28m2) have a terrace overlooking the pool area with private bathroom with walk in shower and either a King size bed or twin beds with mosquito net. The rooms are on the upper floor and only accessible by stairs.

Family Room (appox. 32m2) has 1 King size bed and a bunk bed for 2 persons, a private, ensuite bathroom with walk in shower, kitchenette, a mini fridge and wrap around terrace (25m2) with garden view. The family rooms are on the upper floor and are accessed via a staircase so not suitable for young children.
 

Apartment (appox. 32m2) is located opposite the hotel and has a private, ensuite bathroom with walk in shower, kitchenette, a mini fridge, indoor dining area, outdoor terrace with seating and views of the Aluna hotel.

Facilities
The accommodation and pool are set in an enclosed area in lively Paje, with mature palm trees. The central pool area is next to the restaurant offering breakfast and local and international menu, with locally sourced fresh ingredients and vegan, and vegtarian choices. The bar serves a choice of international branded spirits and wine, beers plus smoothies, mocktails and cocktails which can be enjoyed by the pool. The roof top terrace offers stunning views towards the beach. The accommodation offers events at different times a tthe hotel with live music or BBQ evenings.

The hotel will organise in-house message and therapeutic treatments, bookable and payable at the hotel, on request. There is a shaded, outdoor area on the roof terrace with a small selection of gym equipment.
 

Kitesurf and Wing Foil Centre
The kitesurf and wing foil centre is a short walk away, on Paje Beach.
