Located in the quiet area of San Agustin in the south of the island of Gran Canaria, just 27km from the airport, around 35 minutes drive.
 

Accommodation
The Melia Hotel is a 5* luxury hotel with neo classical, wrought iron furniture and warm decor. The hotel offers a choice of room categories with air conditioning, ensuite bathroom with separate toilet, complimentary toiletries, hairdryer and make up mirror, flat-screen TV, satellite channels, mini bar, telephone and in-room mini safe. The hotel is suitable for guests with reduced mobility in certain rooms, bookable in advance. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel and in the rooms.

Room categories include Classic Double Room, Melia Sea View Rooms, The Level Sea View Rooms, The Level Suites and The Level Junior Suites Sea View. Classic Double Rooms are 21-23m². The Level Junior Suites are 43m² and the Level Sea View Suites are 57m² with queen size beds. Family rooms are 43m² with queen size bed and sofa bed.

Choose from the Roque Nublo Buffet Restaurant with show cooking, international and regional dishes with outdoor terrace and views of the garden and sea serving breakfast and dinner and The Tara by Night a la carte restaurant and bar, offering fusion Mediterranean and Canarian cusines, both with smart dress code. In the day time, the Tara Snack Bar serves buffet and a la carte lunch choices, the Tara Pool Bar, open in the day time and Jameo Bar, ideal for evening cocktails from 5pm to midnight.

There are 2 outdoor pools for adults (one heated) and 1 children’s pool. The Spa at Meliá Tamarindos consists of: 2 private sauna cabins, 1 Turkish bath for 6 people, 2 outdoor hydromassages, an open air outdoor relaxation area with sunbeds and Balinese beds. There is a small gym with 2 treadmills, spinning bikes, exercise bike, body building machine, abdominal bench, wall bars, mini golf, 1 tennis court and 1 squash court free of charge plus an Observatory with telescope and guest professional astronomer. For special occasions or events, there are 3 meeting rooms with a maximum capacity for up to 500 people. The 24 hour reception has a baggage weighing machine and the hotel provides room service, a sunbed service at the pools, towel service, onsite parking and gift shop.
