Tenerife Windsurf Centre - Tenerife - El Medano, Canary Islands

The Tenerife windsurf centre is located on El Medano beach with the latest equipment from a wide range of manufacturer for you to test out, offering a rental and instruction service using a wide range of boards and sails to from the most popular and innovative brands on the market. With up to 7 premium board types and sail brands to suit every weather condition and level of sailing, from blasting on free-ride  and slalom gear to hard-core wave riding kits. 

Location
The windsurf centre is located approximately a 10 minute walk from our recommended hotels, based in a modern building in South Bay, directly in front of one of the three sailing areas available. The wind is consistent throughout the year, blowing north-east  allowing cross-onshore wave riding.

There are three sailing areas accessible from the centre; South Bay, which is the largest and located just in front of the centre, is suitable for intermediates to experts. The sailing area has freeride and bump and jump conditions, chop and rolling swell. The Harbour Wall is a short sail away from the centre and is the windiest part of the bay. There is a cross- onshore wind and waves. Cabezo is past the harbour wall and suitable for experts and professionals.

The centre offers full rental with the latest equipment from major brands including Fanatic, F2 and NeilPryde .

Test most advanced equipment. SUP and surfboards are available for non windy days. Alongside road and mountain bike rentals, movie nights with dinners, tuning and technique clinics and more. A valet rigging service to help tune your gear is available. The centre offers more then 7 premium board- and sailbrands to suit every weather condition and level of sailing.

Kit Range
Latest equipment: approx. 95 boards, 115 sails and 55 full carbon booms.

From November until April the high end slalom gear from Fanatic and North Sails is available to rent with z-fins and full race sails ranging from 6.3 to 8.4m².

Boards
An unique range of the latest models from Fanatic, Goya, JP, Quatro, RRD, Witchcraft, Tabou, Angulo and Severne boards. The boards are ranging from 135 free ride /free race boards down to hardcore wave boards around 72 liters. High End Slalom gear from Fanatic and North: Fanatic Falcons Team Edition ranging from 99 liters up to 138 liters

Sails
North Sails WARP race sails; 6.3 / 7.0 / 7.7 / 8.4m² plus North Sails full carbon Platinum Race booms and Platinum race masts with more then 40 carbon Z-fins for you to use and test.


Rental

Pre booked rental prices. Prices on site are approximately 10% higher.

Pricing: Regular Season is from 01 April 14 June and 01 September to19 December. High season runs from the 15 June - 31 August and from 20 December to 30 March. Seasons dates are subject to change.
 

 
Tuition
Tailor made one-to-one instruction from the first basics from front and back loops to wave riding. Location for lessons to be confirmed at time of booking.
