The Fanatic windsurfing centre in Marsa Alam, Egypt is upwind from the Hotel Shams Alam and is fully stocked with the latest windsurfing and SUP equipment.

Location
The centre is located upwind from the Hotel Shams Alam. The launching area is in a big shallow water lagoon, inside the bay there is flat water, with some swell outside, depending on the wind strength. The sailing spot has a constant side shore wind from the left.
 

Facilities
The centre has a large shop area, changing rooms, chill out areas and a separate outside seating area where you can watch the day’s action on the water in a relaxed atmosphere. The centre offers beach volleyball, diving, snorkelling, squash, quad biking, catamaran rental, trips to selected places, video clinics and a happy hour. WiFi is available at the centre.
 

Services
The centre offers full rental and instruction services for both adults and children with a wide choice of the latest Fanatic boards, North sails and VDWS rigs. Video analysis is available for advanced and unlimited lessons. There is a rescue boat on standby if needed. Accessories available include new ION wetsuits, life vests, North Sails boom, mast feet protectors and Vario harness lines.

For the days with less wind, SUP rental, lessons and excursions are available. This is the perfect chance to explore the surrounding reef belt. SUP boards are available (limited availability) to voucher clients at no extra charge on windless days. Yoga lessons are now available at the centre, with a fee payable locally.
Limited storage space is available for those with their own equipment at an additional charge. (This is required to be booked in advance to guarantee availability.)
 

Sports and Activities
Sports available at the centre are windsurfing, SUP and yoga. The centre provides SUP and yoga tuition.

Windsurfing Tuition

Starter & Refresher, Kids, Advanced & Private/Semi Private.
Choose from Refresher Windsurfing Training, Advanced Training (held in small groups), Semi-Private or Private Training. Group lessons are maximum 6 persons. If there is only 1 person in a group less the time will be reduced but you will receive one to one instruction for the same rate! The content on the lesson can be requested in advance - such as beach start, stance, planing, harness & foot straps, gybing & freestyle manoeuvres.
*Advanced & Private & Semi Private training does not include equipment.
