Run By : Simon Bornhoft Windsurfing Clinic
Join the 2014 Simon Bornhoft windsurfing clinic to the awesome wave sailing venue of Moulay, Morocco.
"It's a real adventure and awesome conditions for dedicated windsurfers." Says Simon. "The prevailing conditions are ideal for enjoying some early season sailing. If you want to learn how to jump, ride waves or crack that loop, these course is designed for you!"
Moulay is an ideal location for those wishing to work on their wave sailing technique. Our Freewave courses choose locations that are perfect to refine your existing short board skills, learn gybe variations and be guided and encouraged into other areas of the sport. Moulay is a fantastic location to learn or develop your jumping, waveriding and if you want, looping skills.
The coaching is broken down into specific SB Windwise topics to focus on your particular requirements. Using rewarding effective Windwise Skills Training, special demos, digital video and plenty of on water coaching, you’ll get all the encouragement and assistance you need to ensure you improve.
Typical Course Level
Intermediates to Advanced - Freewave Moulay
To join the course you should be able to waterstart and blast comfortably on a sub 100L board. Moulay offers a real adventure and awesome conditions for dedicated windsurfers. Although please contact us with details of your level and requirements so that we can advise which week might be best for you. For those of slightly different levels and abilities will be split into smaller groups, so that specific topics can be covered to suit your requirements.
If you feel this is slightly too much. We recommend Simon's May Intro to Wave Sailing Clinic to Essaouira (8-15 May 2014) for Intermediates to Advanced. Provided you can use a harness and plane, you will be able to join the group.
If you have any concern about your level for the week, please call us on 01273 844919 and we’d be only too pleased to help or can put you in contact with Simon.
Moulay is for those who want to increase their chance of waves and want a real safari style adventure. There's a channel to get out avoiding the breaking waves and you can dip in and out of the break to suit your level. Starboard tack, so suits those south coast sailors perfectly! "If you can sail UK coastal locations, then you can handle Moulay." says Simon. "It is one of the closest places to the UK to experience down-the-line wave riding, great jumping and truly develop your windsurfing level!"
Eary in April, the wind is not as crazy as the 3.5m weather in the summer. So on good days when the wind is in you'll be using a sub 100L board and sails below 5.5m. Depending on the weather and decent swell you'll be able to play on manageable waves.
