Palm Resort Kalpitiya is set in a natural landscape, directly on the ‘big’ lagoon at Kalpitiya.
 

Location
Kalpitiya is set on an elongated land spit creating a lagoon area from the coastal land and around 140km, 3-3.5 hour drive from Colombo International airport. The Palm Resort is located 200m from sister property, the eco surf Wind Resort, Kalpitiya and guests of both properties have use of the facilities in each resort. Nearby Kalpitiya village is around 4km away, approximately 15 minutes by local taxi.
 

Accommodation
The Palm Resort Kalpitiya offers eco-friendly accommodation, with air-conditioned rooms
Room categories include Double Relax Room, Double Room with air-conditioning, Single Room, Family Comfort Room. For 3 persons you can combine a Family Comfort with 1 x bunk bed and 1 x single bed in the Single Chill Room.

Double ‘Relax’ Room Accommodates 2 persons.
Feature 1 x King size double bed with mosquito net, en suite bathroom (shower and toilet), terrace, garden and optional air conditioning (for additional charge locally).

Single ‘Chill’ Room Accommodates 1-3 persons.
Depending on the size of room can features 1, 2 or 3 single beds with Mosquito nets, en suite bathroom (shower and toilet), terrace, garden and optional air conditioning (for additional charge locally).

Family ‘Comfort’ Room  Accommodates 3-5 persons.
Family Rooms with 2 separate rooms with a connecting door. 1 room with 1 x king size double bed (with mattress on concrete bed base) and 1 room with 2-3 single beds, two bathrooms (shower and toilet), terrace, garden and optional air conditioning (for additional charge locally). Rooms include room towels but not beach towels. Children 1-5 years stay FREE. Children 6-12 receive 50% discount on accommodation.

Facilities
The accommodation is sold on BB (bed and breakfast buffet with eggs and fruit, or Full Board basis. Full board including breakfast, lunch (Sri Lankan buffet) and dinner with choices of Sri Lanka specialties (with not too spicy options) as well as international dishes are available along with BBQ and show cooking, with water at meals. Other drinks are additional payable locally. Tea and coffee is complimentary and there is a welcome drink on arrival. The resort features a swimming pool and small baby pool, with surrounding natural palm trees and garden area. Beach volleyball, table tennis, games and books, water aerobics, fitness sessions, yoga, Ayurveda treatments and massage are available at the resort. Beach fees are included with your room. Extension and cultural tours around Sri Lanka, which can be booked for before and after your stay, are available with specialist local tour guides.

Just 200m from sister property the Wind Resort, Kalpitiya and guests of both properties have used of the facilities in each resort.
 

Windsurf/Kitesurf/SUP
The windsurf and kitesurf centre is located around 200m, around a 4 minute walk to the adjacent, sister property, Wind Resort Kalpitiya.
 

Our Opinion
The more luxurious option on Kalpitiya lagoon and closest to the windsurf and kitesurf centre. You have a swimming pool, chill out area and are minutes from the water. Also offers other activities and kids supervision for those not kitesurfing or windsurfing.
