Essaouira Duotone Kitesurf Centre - Essaouira - Morocco, Africa

The kitesurfing centre in Essaouira, Morocco is located on the bay and offers lessons for beginners, intermediates and experts. Equipment rental is available for advanced and independent kiters with kite foil rental and instruction.
 

Open 
November - March, daily 10am - 5pm.
Winter break: 30 November - 15 December 2017.
July and August daily 10am - 7pm.
Rest of the year daily 10am - 6pm.


Location 
The kitesurf centre is located on a 4km sandy bay, in the same building as the windsurf centre. The bay provides a huge area for both lessons and also the opportunity to practise some manoeuvers with flat to choppy waters with waves and a slight shorebreak.
 

Facilities 
Next door to the centre is the Ocean Vagabond restaurant which has sunloungers, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a cool drink. Accessories available include ION wetsuits and life vests and helmets. WiFi is available at the centre.


Services
Kitesurf lessons from beginner up to expert level are available and can be booked as either groups or private lessons. For qualified kiters, minimum IKO level 3 standard, the full range of North kites and boards can be rented. Video analysis is available. There are 2 rescue boats on stand by if needed. SUP boards are available to voucher clients at no extra charge on windless days. Limited space available for those with their own equipment at an additional charge. (This is required to be booked in advance to guarantee availability.)


Sports and Activities
Other activities such as windsurfing, SUP and surfing are available at the centre. SUP tuition is also available from the centre. Surfing tuition is available for Beginners, Kids, Advanced and Private. From Spring 2018 kitefoiling rental, private and semi private lessons will be available.

Please Note: You may be required to pay a damage waiver fee, locally at the centre, or leave a credit card deposit against potential damage, before rental equipment can be taken.  Sportif recommend you take insurance to cover third party liability, as well as medical and general travel insurance, which is required as part of our terms and conditions of booking. However, your insurance may not provide cover for damage to equipment that is rented, so worth checking in advance of travel.

Kite Foil rental requires a minimum level: IKO 3 or VDWS 5; safely kiting upwind and some experience in kite-foiling). Kite foil instruction is available and and assessment lesson is required to be pre-booked in advance of taking any equipment. Please contact us for rates.

Double Usage:	2nd person receives 80% discount on rental rate (ie only pays +20% on rental rate).
Combination of 2 Sports:	70% discount on rental on 2nd sport equipment (ie pay only +30% on rental rate).
Rental & Instruction of 2 Sports:	10% discount on rental rate.(rental kitesurfing & windsurfing, instruction - kitesurfing, windsurfing, surfing, catamaran sailing).
Board Only, Rig or Kite Only:	30% discount with storage included*. Pay only 70% of complete rental rate. (*At centres offering storage - the storage for 1 board, 1 kite or 1 rig included in the price, subject to availability.)
Family Specials:	Windsurf Rental 1 adult + 1 child using same board - child up to 16 years is Free of Charge.
Kids & Youngsters:	50% discount on rental rates (valid for kids & youngsters up to 16 years).

Kitesufing Tuition
Instruction: Beginner, Private & Semi-Private.
3 step system, all levels, tricks, private. Combi rental/ instruction & multisport packages available. Wave spot excursion available. Multi sport 'Joker' discounts package avaialable - see below. Group lessons are maximum 4 persons  and usually 1-3 hours duration. Private lessons or Semi Private lessons (maximum 2 students) are available. If there is only 1 person in a group the time will be reduced but you will receive one to one instruction for the same rate! The content on the lesson can be requested in advance so that those of similar ability and similar goals can be grouped together.
