Sigri - Lesvos Kitesurf Centre - ,

The Sportif kitesurfing centre in Sigri, Lesvos is situated on the north end of the bay in Sigri and offers Gaastra boards and kites.

Location
The centre is located at the north end of Sigri bay. There is flat water infront of the centre due to the cross offshore wind, making it a great spot for learning manoeuvres.

Across the bay from the centre is the island Nissiopi which gives protection from the Agean Sea. This means there is little chance of drifting if there were any problems on the water. The launch area is marked by buoys and is about 50m wide. It can be challenging launching in front of the centre due to gusty wind close to the centre.

The bay in Limena is sandy with clear turquoise water. The wind is side-onshore (from the right) and offers due to the 600m long sandy beach a perfect entrance to the water and lots of space on the beach. This spot is ideal for the first steps on kiteboarding with great conditions for beginners.The kite station also provides downwinder for advanced kiters.

The centre also offers Kite Safaris to 2 bays around the corner (on request). The untouched nature in combination with the great conditions on the water is casting a magical spell over every kiters heart.

The Faneromeni Bay offers side on wind with bigger chops to jump. The bay is around 1 km long and on the beach there is enough space to start and land the kite.


Facilities
At the centre there is an office, equipment storage, Surfbar which has a range of delicious snacks and drinks along with sun loungers available.

Services
Kitesurf lessons from beginner up to advanced level are available and can be booked in either groups or private lessons. For qualified kiters, the full range Gastra kites and boards can be rented. There are 2 rescue boats for safety cover, if needed. Private Storage: Limited space available for those with their own equipment at an additional charge. (This is required to be booked in advance to guarantee availability.)

Sports & Activities The centre offers SUP and Bikes (small charge) along with windsurfing.

Kitesurfing Tuition
The kite club welcomes beginners as well as more advanced kiters. For the beginners we have a team of instructors who can teach them all they need to know to get started in the brilliant sport of kiting! Furthermore we also make beginner courses at limena bay (2 km from the Kite centre). This bay is the perfect area for the first steps in kiteboarding, shallow flat water, and constant side on shore wind.
