Sigri - Lesvos Windsurf Centre - ,

The Sigri windsurfing centre on Lesvos (Lesbos) is situated on the north end of the bay in Sigri and offers Tabou boards and Simmer sails.


Open  April - Mid October.


Location
The center is situated on the north end of the bay in Sigri. The wind blows side offshore and this is the reason why the water is very flat in front of the center.

The spot is highly suitable to learn any kind of new manoeuvre. Here the Meltemi blows up to F6 in the height of the season. The center is protected by an island called Nissiopi, which is opposite, preventing any possibility of drifting. In the channel between the island and Sigri with the right wind conditions there are great wave riding possibilities directly from the centre. It is also possible to visit the 5 different sailing areas all within in an area of 5 km. If there is demand the centre will organise surf safaris to all the other spots. Other sailing spots include Faneromeni Beach, Limea I & II and Andromaki.


Facilities
The centre consists of an office, a bar area, small storage and bike center. The surf bar provides delicious toasts and hot & cold drinks. To relax in there are complimentary use of sun loungers and shaded area on the beach by the centre. If there is no wind at all we offer SUP boards and bikes (small charge).


Services
Full rental and instruction service with a wide choice of the latest Tabou boards & Gaastra sails all rigged on RDM masts. Wind safaris are available with mobile unit to the other 4 spots in sigri with a selection of last seasons equipment bought in the trailer for rig changes on the spot. There is also a motorboat on standby at the centre, if needed. Private Storage: Limited space available for those with their own equipment at an additional charge. (This is required to be booked in advance to guarantee availability.)

Sports & Activities Once a week the centre organises a barbecue for guests. Additional activities include mountain biking SUP, including SUP safaris and organised trips to Eressos and Molivos with the safari bus.

All sails have RDM Masts and available for the windsurf safaris to the other sailing spots as a mobile centre facility when sailing outside Sigri Bay.

SUP Equipment: 8 Southpoint SUP boards are available at £9 per hour but FREE for those renting equipment.

Rental

Off Peak Times: 1st May - 6th June & 19th September - 3rd October.

Discounts: 2 Adults sharing one board: 1st person pays 100%, 2nd person pays 50% of the rental rate; Fixed (ie pre-reserved) board only for one person, the second person has no fixed board, two persons share 1 board.

Tuition

Windsurfing Tuition Beginner, Kids, Advanced & Unlimited Premium.
For beginners lessons there are easy to use beginner boards and very light-weight sails.
