Tobago Windsurf Centre - Tobago, Caribbean

The windsurf centre in Tobago is based on the beautiful beach at Pigeon Point and is equipped with choice of the latest equipment from JP and NeilPryde as well as Fanatic and North. Instruction is available with taster and beginner courses, intermediate and advanced lessons. This is a small centre offering a personal service and set on an idyllic beach.

Location
The centre is based on the beautiful beach at Pigeon Point. The area has flat water and the world famous Nylon Pool which is ideal for both beginners and intermediates alike. Pigeon Point beach is a narrow white sand peninsular which is surrounded by the waters of the caribbean. There is also an area less than 100 yards away which is sheltered and unaffected by wind, which is a great place for swimming and sunbathing.
 

Conditions
The Tobago windsurfing centre sits on an idylicc spot, protected by Buccoo Reef, creating a perfect flat water later with breakwater. The prevailing trade winds are cross shore from the right moving to on shore on some days in the season from Mid December to June.


Facilities
At the centre is there are showers, changing rooms and it is set next to an independently run bar with restaurant. There is lots of shad under the palm trees, so a perfect area for pitching a spot and chilling out between sessions on the water.Full rental and instruction service with a wide choice of the latest Fanatic & Starboard boards and North sails. There is a rescue boat on stand by if needed. Private Storage: Limited space available for those with their own equipment at an additional charge. (This is required to be booked in advance to guarantee availability.)


Sports and Activities
There is also windsurfing, SUP, surfing, kayaking, hobie cat sailing and mountain biking. At certain times of the month, you can book night bioluminescence tours. For pre-booked rental or instruction clients you can use the kayaks and stand up paddleboards for free!
 

Kit Range

Latest equipment from JP Australia, NeilPryde,  Fanatic and North. Boards from 84 litre to 195 litre with full beginner and kids rig available. Now available foil gear by JP Austrailia and Neil Pryde.

JP - Super Light Wind, X-Cite, Freestyle Pro, Freestyle Wave FWS.
Fixed Line NP Harness Lines - fitted on check in.

2 Weeks Rental for the Price of 1 Week
For off peak dates Nov-Mid December and Mid Apri to Mid June - please ask for specific dates this applies to.

Please note: For Foil rental equipment a supervised lesson of 1 hour is chargeable before taking the equipment to ensure the person renting is of the required standard. If the required standard is not achieved, then the value of prebooked rental package will be transferred to additional lessons until the required level is achieved.

Tuition

Windsurfing Tuition: Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced.

Please note: Except for the Taster and Beginner sessions, instruction doesn't include equipment rental. Lessons are usually 2 hours per day.
 

Pigeon Point Pass
All clients with prebooked rental and instruction, will have the Pidgeon Point Heritage park pass included in the price, on the days of those services only.  For those not taking sports packages the pass can be prebooked for arrival through Sportif.
