Tenerife Windsurf and Kitesurf Centre - Tenerife - El Medano, Canary Islands

Located in El Medano and giving you access to 3 unique sailing spots, this centre will provide you with the top equipment from Duotone and Fanatic, and the necessary instruction to ensure that you improve your kitesurfing and windsurfing skills. The centre also offers SUP and surf tuition, as well as other activities you can enjoy throughout the island. 


Location
Located in the south east coast of the island, in El Medano, this spot has consistent north east trade winds all year round, varying between 14 to 28 knots most of the year, and sometimes going beyond the 30 knots.  El Medano is a very casual beach location that attracts many windsurfers as well as kitesurfers who can enjoy their sports in 3 different spots around El Medano. It is located within a 10 minute drive from the airport and you can find everything you need within walking distance. 

Facilities
The centre has Wi-Fi, a storage facility which allows you to store your equipment 20 metres away from the water, showers and an area dedicated to washing up your equipment. 

Services
The centre offers the latest equipment from Duotone, Fanatic and ION accessories, all of which you can test prior to renting.  Kitesurf and windsurf private or semi-private lessons with IKO certified instructors, which cover every experience level are available, as well as surf and SUP lessons which can either be private or group lessons plus body boards to , wetsuits and harnesses to rent payable locally. During the lessons, you will also be provided with a BB talking waterproof intercom, which allows your instructor to provide you with feedback and personal instruction to ensure that you are progressing. The centre also shows availability to arrange excursions around the island or arrange a mountain or road bike riding trip. 

Rental

 
Above rates are pre- booking rates - 3 weeks before arrival date.
2 week rate is 13 days. Non Consecutive Days / Flex days +20% on the rental rates.
Double usage - 2 persons using same board not at the same time +25% on the rental rate,
Board/Sail only -30% on the rental rate,
Windfoil +20% on the rental rate.
Double sport rental for wind and kite + 20% on the rental rate.

Tuition

Lessons are either group (2 persons share 1 set of equipment, or private one student to one instructor with own set of equipment during lessons.   1 lesson is approximately 2 hours. 2 lessons are 2 x 2 hours, 3 lessons 3 x 2 hours and 4 lessons are 4 x 2 hours. Lessons can be between 1 and 3 hours on the water  and lessons schedules can be adjusted locally depending on local conditions on the advice of the instructor.
