The Ozone Kitesurf Centre, Kalpitiya centre, located between two of the best and most distinct kitesurfing spots in Sri-Lanka – Kalpitiya lagoon and the Donkey Point, is the perfect spot to suit kitesurfers of every level. Lessons tailored for every kitesurfer are available, as well as equipment for renting and a variety of trips to neighbouring islands and popular lagoons.  

 

Location
The Ozone Kitesurf Centre  is located in Kalpitiya, on the Puttalam Peninsula and within easy reach of every popular kitesurf location. It is set within a 10 minute ride from Kalpitiya lagoon and within walking distance from the Donkey Point. Just by the centre, there is another lagoon which can take up to 15 kiters and is perfect for beginners. The kitesurfing centre offers great opportunities to beginners, as these can start their learning process in the flat waters of the Kalpitiya lagoon, where winds reach 18 to 28 knots, or the lagoon right by the centre, but it also caters for those in a more advanced level, as these can explore the waves and reliable winds at the Donkey Point and a variety of other accessible locations. 


Facilities
The Kitesurfing  centre has a kitesurf shop, where you can buy kitesurfing equipment as this centre is the official Ozone Kites Distributor in Sri Lanka and you can also buy other products and kite accessoris as well such as sunscreen and swimwear. We recommend taking protective boots to kite due to some sharp shells in certain locations. This shop is also equipped with a repair service to ensure that your equipment is ready to be used at all times. You can also find a bar and restaurant by the centre, where you can enjoy the local Sri-Lankan cuisine as well as other international dishes. 


Services
The centre offers equipment for renting and kitesurfing lessons for every level of experience, which are provided by IKO (the International Kiteboarding Organization) certified instructors. The centre also provides free transport to the Kalpitiya lagoon, a free safety boat on the Donkey Point, and other trips can be arranged at an extra cost to the Vella Island, Putallam lagoon and other popular spots among kitesurfers.
