Portugal Windsurf and Kitesurf Centre - Portugal, Greece & Mediterranean

The Portugal windsurf and kitesurf sports centre on Cabedelo beach at the luxury FeelViana Sports Hotel offers the latest rental equipment from JP-Australia and Cabrinha alongside instruction with group, semi private and private lessons for all ages and levels. Also available are surfing and stand up paddleboarding (SUP) centre with rental and instruction courses, MTB, road and leisure bikes, guided cycling, SUP and hiking available. In the hotel is a fully equipped gym, spa, yoga studio and classes and kids club with nearby wake park and sailing.

Location
The centre is located just outside of the historic town of Viana do Castelo, just under an hour from Porto airport and located within the 4* FeelViana Sports Hotel. It a short walk and ferry ride to Viana do Castello in the summer months, or you can cycle in around 15 minutes. Cabedello beach is a short 300m walk along the boardwalk from the centre. It opens out on a crescent shaped, sandy beach with break water at the northern end, fringed by sand dunes and pine forest. This is a stunning location to enjoy walking, biking, surfing, SUP year round with windsurfing and kitesurfing in the windier summer months.

Facilities
The centre is run by experienced, professional staff with relevent qualifications for teaching.
There is a snack bar on the beach from May to September in front of the hotel open during the day. From October to April, meals and refreshments are available at the Hotel. The Center support area, at the other end of the building to the rental and instruction base, has fully equipped shower rooms, with 48 ventilated lockers with padlocks to store  your own equipment and dry suits, boards and other equipment, at an additional charge. (This is required to be booked in advance to guarantee availability.) A short walk from the centre is the kids club with adjacent pump track - ideal for practising on skateboards or bike. The Kid's club is required to be booked in advance and there is a charge by the hour.

Sports and Activities
The centre also offers windsurfing and kitesurfing rental and instruction as well as MTB and road cycling at the specialist bike centre plus hiking, trail running, trekking and sailing. Private excursions and tours for boating, sailing and SUP along the river and to nearby surf spots are available locally.

Sailing from Cabedelo beach or River Lima just behind the hotel: Seascape 18 single handed sailing boat, Optimists and Class 420 yachts. The centre can offer sailing trips with local experience skipper.

Tuition

Windsurf

Group lessons: 3 hour, 6 hour and and 10hrs lesson packages for all levels. Equipment is included during the lessons.

Kitesurf

Semi Private and Private lessons: 3 hour, 6 hour and 9hrs lesson packages for all levels. Equipment is included during the lessons.

Semi Private lessons have maximum 2 student to 1 instructor. Private lessons have maximum 1 student to 1 instructor.
