The Aruba kitesurf centre in the Caribbean is located on the famous Palm Beach, has the lastest Cabrinha kit and is open year round.

Location
The centre is located on Palm Beach directly in front of the kite zone which has a shallow water area for approximately 200-300m to the offshore reef where there is bump and jump conditions. There are a couple of hazards are upwind but are easily recognised with markers. Aruba offers year round wind averaging 75% days F4 plus but throughout the summer months is more likely to be 90-95% - usual 16-20 knots most days. Coupled with some of the best beaches in the world, flat water plus bump and jump conditions and crystal clear blue, warm water and direct UK flights from May to October.


Facilities
Set on a beautiful sandy beach with sun beds available for guests of the centre. The centre has changing and shower facilities and you can walk to a variety of shops, bars and restaurants some on the beach, for snacks and refreshments. Kitesurf lessons from beginner up to expert level are available and can be booked in either groups or private lessons. Kitesurf board rentals require IKO level 3 or equivelant.
Space available for those with their own equipment at an additional charge. (This is required to be booked in advance to guarantee availability.)

Windsurfing is also available in Aruba. Day trips to Boca Grandi and other advanced sports can eb arranged for advanced kiters looking for more challenging and wave conditions. A top quality windsurf cente offering SUP and surf equipment is available at the same location. Beach loungers, sunshades and nearby beach services such as motorised watersports, sailing, snorkelling and scuba diving.

Kitesufing Tuition: Group (Max 2 per instructor) & Private.

The course content for the complete beginners course is:

Lesson 1: steering, turning and flying kite, learning the "power window", using the harness to hold the kite power, line management, and preparation for the Body Drag.

Lesson 2: setting up the kite, learning all safety features, learning control of a full size 4-line kite on the water, re-launching the kite, then the "Body Drag" learning how to pull yourself through the water with the power of the kite. Finally, and understanding and practice of how to power / depower the kite.

Lesson 3: review of the Body Drag, controlling the kite with one hand so you can get the board under your feet. By the end of the lesson the goal is to learn kite positioning for "Water Starting" and taking your first attempt to get up and ride!

The continuing student course is for those who need some more time on the water in order to become an independent kiter. The lesson is for approximately 2.5 hours with boat guided instruction and all equipment is included.
