Keros Bay Windsurf & Kitesurf Camp - Lemnos - Keros Bay, Greece & Mediterranean

This luxury surf club is set directly on the stunningly beautiful Keros Bay. Choice of tent categories with own bathroom. Kitesurf and windsurf rental and instruction isavailable on the spot at the centre with own restaurant and bar, the scene for many a lively night!

Location
The Surf Club is located on Keros Bay on the western coast of Lemnos (Limnos) approximately a 30 minute drive from the airport.


Location
The centre is located on the northern part of Keros Bay and has a sandy beach, shallow water area which is uncrowded and ideal conditions for all levels. Keros Bay is 15 minutes from the airport and few minutes drive or 5-10 minutes on locally hired mountain bikes from the self catering apartments and hotel accommodation is a short 15 minutes drive.

The sailing area has a mix of conditions with lee shore to the left, which is ideal for beginners as it provides shallow, waist deep water and sheltered,  more gentle conditions for learning and taking the first steps. After approximately 300m you can access the full force of the wind allowing all levels to windsurf and kitesurf together from one spot. The beach is sandy and the launch is directly from the centre into the wide, natural bay at Keros which is approximately 5 km in length.

The wind is side shore to the beach and averages 4-6 Bft (15-25 knots) most days. Unlike most spots in the Aegean Sea, the wind speed at Lemnos is highest till 12am-1pm and it blows from northeast. Then, it turns from north and falls to 4 Bft, but you can still surf for approximately an additonal 2-3 hours.


Facilities
The centre has WC, changing area, fresh water showers, small shade and drinks bar located next door and restaurant/ taverna 5 mins from the centre.


Services
Kitesurf lessons from beginner up to expert level are available and can be booked in either groups or private lessons. For qualified kiters, meaning those who are able to kitesurf independently standard, the full range of North kites and boards can be rented. Space available for those with their own equipment at an additional charge. (This is required to be booked in advance to guarantee availability.) Windsurfing is also available, along with enjoying some of the 30 sandy beach, pretty villages and tavernas around the island by car or bike as Lemnos is an ideal cycling country.

Keros beach provides ideal learning conditions. Learn and ride in flat shallow water surrounded by the beautiful, natural landscape of Keros Bay. Enjoy riding with plenty of room, warm water and consistent side offshore winds. Individual or group lessons are provided with a maximum of 3 students per instructor. Courses are available for beginners, intermediates and advanced levels. Whether you would like to just have a taste of the sport or take an intensive training course, the centre will be pleased to safely guide you through the earning process.
