Golf de Roses Fanatic Windsurf Centre - Golf De Roses, Spain

The windsurf centre in Golf de Roses, Spain is at the southern end of the Bay of Roses and is ideal for all levels of windsurfer. The centre is on a wide sandy beach and is the location of the PWA World Cup Slalom event with the best men and women in the world arriving in June. There are windsurf instruction courses all summer long with expert instructors for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels. Lessons are available for children.


Open  Beginning of April to mid October.
Opening times 11:00am to 18:00pm in low season (April/May) and after mid September, 10:00am to 18:00pm in high season (June - Mid September). Subject to change locally without notice.


Location
At the Southern end of the Bay of Roses, this world class windsurf centre opened its doors for the first time in summer 2004. The two prevailing winds, the Tramontana and the Garbi, dominate the region around the Bay of Roses, turning it into a first rate surf spot. The launch is directly in front of the centre with a semi shallow area with sandbanks in the 5km wide bay.

Please note: You are able to park behind the centre during low seasons (mid-end March to approximately mid May and again after the end of September if the club is open). Opening dates for the centre vary from year to year, so please do contact us if you need to check if you can park behind the centre. During high season dates you will need to park outside the residential camping area where Clients of the centre receive 3 hours/day free parking on production of your Sportif Voucher. Extra time is paid at the entrance reception of approximately (5 €/hour).


Facilities
There are now two separate locations on the Rosas beach. The main centre has a shop, a bar/snack bar next door with a spacious terrace and chill out area, toilets and fresh water showers on the southern end of the beach. Here the Kitesurfing lessons, rental, storage and all stand up paddle activities, plus windsurfing beginners and kids lessons will take place.

A second, new centre especially for windsurfing is located approximately 5 minutes walk, north, nearer the main entrance reception and car parking area. Here there will be more space on the water for windsurfers with all rental and afternoon lessons for advanced windsurfers. Accessories available include ION wetsuits, life vests, North Sails boom, mast feet protectors and Vario harness lines. WiFi is available at the centre at an additional cost.
 

Services
Full rental and instruction service with a wide choice of the latest boards and North sails. Video analysis available for advanced and unlimited lessons. There is a rescue boat on stand by if needed. SUP boards are available to voucher clients at no extra charge on windless days. You can rent a Go Pro HD 2 camera and record your windsurfing. Other activities include kitesurfing, SUP and surfing. The centre also has windfoiling, SUP and surfing rental and tuition. Please note: Private storage is not available.

Tuition

Windsurfing Tuition
Beginner, Kids, Intermediate, Advanced.
Lessons are scheduled for 10am, 12.30pm and 3pm depending on the local conditions.
Beginners and children's lessons are normally in the morning before the wind gets up.
Group lessons are maximum 6 persons. Advanced lessons are scheduled for the afternoon usually. If there is only 1 person in a group the time will be reduced but you will receive one to one instruction for the same rate! The content on the lesson can be requested in advance - such as beach start, stance, planing, harness & footstraps, gybing and freestyle manoeuvers. 

*Advanced & Private & Semi Private training does not include equipment.

Please note the location of beginners and junior windsurfing is at the southern main centre approximately 5 minutes walk from the secondary centre where the windsurfing rental and advanced lessons take place.
