Golf de Roses Duotone Kitesurf Centre - Golf De Roses, Spain

The kitesurf centre in Golf de Roses, Spain is based at the same location as the windsurf centre on the long sandy beach on the Bay of Roses. It's ideal for learning to kitesurf with courses all summer long with expert instructors. For independent kiters you can rent the latest Dutone and North Kiteboarding equipment for independent kiters or use the storage and service at the centre for a small charge. Lessons are available for children.


Open  Beginning of April to mid October.
Opening times 11:00am to 18:00pm in low season (April/May) and after mid September, 10:00am to 18:00pm in high season (June - Mid September). Subject to change locally without notice.


Location  
The kitesurf centre is based in the same location as the windsurf centre on a wide sandy beach with a launching and training area. There is a sandy beach 100m wide which offers enough space for 'stress-free' kite launching. The wind is cross shore from the left with mainly flat waters, it can become choppy waves on very windy days. There is also a designated kite zone. Please note: You are able to park behind the centre during low seasons (mid-end March to approximately mid May and again after the end of September if the club is open). Opening dates for the centre vary from year to year, so please do contact us if you need to check if you can park behind the centre. During high season dates you will need to park outside the residential camping area where Clients of the centre receive 3 hours/day free parking on production of your Sportif Voucher. Extra time is paid at the entrance reception of approximately (5 €/hour).


Facilities
The centre has a shop, a bar/snack bar right next door with a spacious terrace and chill out area, toilets and fresh water showers on the beach. Accessories available include ION wetsuits, life vests, North Sails boom, mast feet protectors and Vario harness lines. SUP boards are available to voucher clients at no extra charge on windless days. Accessories available include new ION wetsuits, life vests and helmets. A picture and video recording service is available at the centre. Limited space available for those with their own equipment at an additional charge. (This is required to be booked in advance to guarantee availability.) Other activities on offer at the centre include windsurfing, SUP and surfing. The centre also provides SUP tuition at beginner level, surfing tuition at beginner level and an SUP excusion (Breakfast paddle). There is a rescue boat on stand by if needed. WiFi is available at the centre at an additional cost.

There are now two separate locations on the Rosas beach. The main centre has a shop, a bar/snack bar next door with a spacious terrace and chill out area, toilets and fresh water showers on the southern end of the beach. Here the Kitesurfing lessons, rental, storage and all stand up paddle activities, plus windsurfing beginners and kids lessons will take place.

A second, new centre especially for windsurfing is located approximately 5 minutes walk, north, nearer the main entrance reception and car parking area. Here there will be more space on the water for windsurfers with all rental and afternoon lessons for advanced windsurfers. Accessories available include ION wetsuits, life vests, North Sails boom, mast feet protectors and Vario harness lines. WiFi is available at the centre at an additional cost.

Latest equipment from Duotone/North Kiteboarding: Approx. 40 Kites and 25 Boards (Kite sizes: 2.5m² - 17m²).

Kids & Junior Equipment: Available. 

Rental
For qualified kiters, minimum IKO level 3 standard, the full range of North kites and boards can be rented. 

   
Kite Foil rental requires a minimum level: IKO 3 or VDWS 5; safely kiting upwind and some experience in kite-foiling). Kite foil instruction is available and and assessment lesson is required to be pre-booked in advance of taking any equipment. Please contact us for rates.

Tuition

Kitesufing Tuition
Instruction: All levels. group, semi-private, private.

Lessons are usually 1-3 hours duration. Group lessons are maximum 4 persons to one instrutor. Private lessons or Semi Private lessons (maximum 2 students to one instructor) are available. If there is only 1 person in a group less the time will be reduced but you will receive one to one instruction for the same rate! The content on the lesson can be requested in advance so that those of similar ability and similar goals will be grouped together. Group lessons are booked on a 6 hour basis and cover up to body drag level. After which Semi Private or Private instruction only is available.
 

Supervision can be booked locally for those wanting additional support when renting Kitesurf equipment, such as guiding or rescue service.
