The windsurfing centre in 'Jeri' or Jericoacoara is one of the finest in the world, located on the eastern point of a long carving bay, on the North Coast of Brazil. The sailing takes place inside a bay which creates a natural safety area. There are three main sailing areas, creating a diverse spot to windsurf from, onsite bar and restaurant and latest equipment from JP, Neil Pryde plus kitesurfing, surfing and SUP

Location
The centre is located directly on the beach and is overlooking the windsurf spot. It is one of the finest windsurf centres in the world, and has been designed and built by a Brazilian architect. Access to the windsurfing beach is directly in front of the centre, with a few wide steps to get down to the beach.
 

Facilities
The centre has a restaurant that is stocked up with snacks, sandwiches, shakes, main course meals, a hot buffet, desserts, ice cream, and more. There is also a bar with a happy hour and amazing views of the sunset. To relax the centre has a green area and sundeck with loungers and music to chill out after a day on the water. The centre provides free WiFi throughout.

The large windsurfing, sailing area, accessed directly from the centre and downwind to Sunset Dune offers the best freeride sailing in the bay with endless flatwater. Malhada, is for the more advanced and confident,upwind of the 'Point' with a side on beach on the other side of town, here the best starboard jumping racks are available.

The wave sizes depend on the tide, swell and time of year. The bigger waves at high tide range from waist to shoulder to head high. The waves get bigger throughout the year, peaking in December. Services
Full rental and instruction service with a wide choice of the latest JP & Starboard boards and Neil Pryde sails are available. The centre now stocks 100% Pro Range equipment, this includes boards, rigs, masts and booms with a simple and efficient pre- booking system. The centre uses a board pool so rather than booking a fixed board in advance, you reserve by category, which allows you to try a variety of boards during your vacation. Categories are small (up to 90L), medium (91-110L) and large (111L+). The number of reservations is limited, in order to guarantee that there is always enough equipment for pre-booked clients. Storage space available for those with their own equipment at an additional charge. (This is required to be booked in advance to guarantee availability.)

Other activities include SUP, Surfing, Kayaking and Mangrove Tour, which is a 3hr morning tour which takes you paddling through Mangroves and along the sand dunes. The centre offers a Mangrove Tour on SUP and Kayaks.

Rental

Harness, gloves and any other accessories are not available for rental.

Discounts: Combo Rates are available offering a 60% discount on Kitesurf rental rates when booking windsurf rental at the same time (for one person). Double usage (two persons sharing 1 equipment) is not permitted for the windsurf + kitesurf combo.
 

Tuition

Windsurfing Tuition: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Freestyle.
Beginner: Basic introduction to windsurfing: safety, understanding the wind, sailing (stance, sail control, steering), tack.
Intermediate: beach start, water start, harness, pivot jibe, fast tack.
Advanced: footstraps, planing jibe, siker tack, helicopter tack, jumping.
Freestyle: Duck jibe, donkey jibe, backwind jibe, carving jibe 360, duking 360, duck tack, haas tack, forward loop, vulcan,  gecko-flaca.
