Caribbean
Gently waving palms, deserted beaches of pure white sand, kissed by the sparkling turquoise warm sea and pure blissful strong winds...this is the Caribbean. For many the Caribbean epitomizes luxury in an idyllic setting, for windsurfers and kiters it offers so much more. Pick any time in the year, there is always one or more exotic location that are blessed with the wonderful Tradewinds that waft across the whole of the Caribbean islands. The winds are predominantly at their best in the south during our winter, with the northern islands benefiting during our summer months. One must never forget the other influences such as the unique landscape of each island or even the huge landmass of South America which can create strong airstreams that flow over the exotic islands of Margarita and Tobago, both tucked in close to Venezuela.
Much more than strong winds have affected these islands over the years, some are stamped indelibly with British rule, dating back to the days of slavery in the sugar plantations, whilst others have a heavy Spanish and French influence. Your choice of island is as wide as the gulf between our hectic lifestyle and the tranquility mixed with the culture that is at times so laid back as to be horizontal.....all this is sitting waiting for you. It is hard to make a choice, each destination is full of promise and expectations, a mixture of friendly welcoming locals, exotic food, tropical fruit and fresh seafood. An endless supply of alcoholic concoctions and lively music against a backdrop of cobalt blue skies and beautiful heady scented flowers.
The wide choice starts with Barbados, at its best from December through to April. Then Margarita, Antigua and the Dominican Republic where conditions can be heavenly, at various times in this diverse tropical climate. The lesser known islands like Tobago and St Lucia offer exclusivity, if you are searching for something a little more special. The choice is endless, each of these islands is the stuff that dreams are made of, whichever you choose we know it will meet your wildest expectations.
