Fly directly to Marsa Alam and have a short 1 hour transfer south to perfect flat water training conditions with small waves outside the bay. This is a superb resort for non sailng partners. The centre is on the beach in front of the hotel, there's a great house reef for snorkelling, pool, beach bar and spacious beach. 26|09|11 +++ Simon Bornhoft - first Impressions!

So here we are in Marsa Alam for the first time. We've just run one Windwise Freeride Clinic and are just getting going with the second. I've been to Egypt in September for over 20 years so it's a very pleasant  surprise to discover somewhere new and highly recommendable.

The response from the clients has been very positive. The early morning winds have given us planing conditions 6 days out of 8 so far. Plus there is the added bonus of great food, quick service, clean rooms and everything working - which often eludes many Egyptian Hotels. We've seen turtles and experienced the most amazing snorkeling and enjoyed finishing the day with the all-inclusive ice cream, pancakes and cold beer!

But it's on the water that we've had the most fun. Table flat water on the inside for carving turns and rolling swell out the back, it ticks a lot of boxes. After many hours on water, the level of assistance and service from the Club Mistral team has been exceptional, with everyone commenting on how helpful they have been with kit changes and support! So many people have made their first, fastest and most enjoyable gybes and duck gybes.
