Icaraizinho Boat Race & Ride of the Day
Fisherman from all over the state of Ceara gathered in the small town of Icaraizinho to attend the race. The skills and experience gathered through lifetimes on the sea and passed down from generations before them meant that the competition was fierce, with little reward aside from all important pride!
They set off from the shore line heading out to sea, an armada of wooden boats with ragged sails dotted the horizon as they fought it out for the best positions for wind and swell. The atmosphere in the town that night was electric, with long established friendships being rekindled and the fishermen taking a very rare night off, with no work obligations in the morning.
This year Club Ventos introduced a new service to guests and followers alike! Its called ride of the day, and its does exactly what it says on the tin! It’s a daily short clip showing some sailing of in Jeri or Icaraizinho from that day.
