windsurf, kitesurf, surfing & activity holidays in St Martin - Caribbean
St Martin is a small Caribbean island divided into a French side and a Dutch side. The island offers nature, elegance, comfort, luxury, gourmet cuisine, vibrant nightlife and duty free shopping. St Martin boasts 37 glorious beaches of white sand and turquoise waters where an abundance of water sports can be enjoyed; windsurfing, kitesurfing, surfing, scuba diving, kayak tours, superb deep sea fishing and world class sailing. On land there is still more to do including terrain off road guided tours, and mountain biking. St. Martin is a fascinating melting pot of people and influences from over 70 different nations - a really Cosmopolitan atmosphere with a Caribbean twist.
Sailing Spot & Conditions
Half Moon Bay on the eastern side of the island, sits in the heart of a protected natural reserve and no motor boats are allowed. It is a truly peaceful location and voted the best and safest beach on the island. The sailing area is a 1km wide sandy lagoon with some standing areas and no current, protected by an outer reef about 400m from the shore.

The water in the lagoon is warm all year long, flat and safe, and the spot is perfect at the same time for beginners, intermediate freeriders, freestylers and wave freaks - a small Mauritius in the Caribbean! The reef offers great wave riding conditions with breaking waves between 1 - 3m.
