For beginners, the best area for instruction is on Lambeau Beach where the wind is steady and before high tide, the sandy beach is wide. At Pigeon Point is a protected by Bucco Reef which lies up to one and half miles off one of the best beaches in the Caribbean. Inside the vast lagoon, the flat, crystal clear, shallow water is a sailor's dream. This is ideal for beginners or speed sailing. On the outside, when the conditions all come together, the swells can rival those on the North Shore of Maui.

Culture
Often twinned with neighbouring island Trinidad, this tiny island republic is one of the most southerly in the Caribbean chain. Tobago is only 26 miles long by 7 miles wide, yet offers visitors much with its unhurried lifestyle, lush tropical scenery and choice of activities. The center of the island provides wonderful trekking terrain through tropical rainforest to spot exotic birds and wild flowers. As a complete contrast, the western edge of the island is low and flat; a classically Caribbean landscape of swaying palms, secluded half-moon bays and white sand beaches. The islanders welcome visitors to this peaceful island. A trip to the Capital, Scarborough, to see the colourful markets or the Carnival with its calypso and steel band isa must.
Diving
Tobago also offers some of the finest diving of all Caribbean destinations.

Rich nutrient currents flowing from the coasts of South America attract a huge range of sea life. See manta ray, barracuda, dolphin, giant sea turtles even Whale Sharks. Wrecks, pretty reefs & the largest brain colony in the region. Easily accessible diving for all levels.
Undersea Tobago – based at the Coco Reef Resort – offers PADI open water course, daily dives and dive packages.
