Alacati (pronounced Ala chatty) offers easy, flat, shallow water - perfect for improvers to advanced intermediate windsurfers.We go in June because the wind has proved to be just as good as in July/August, but the water is less crowded. The predominant Meltemi wind blows port tack (left to right across the beach). It's lighter in the morning and builds in the afternoon. My experiences of the place have been pretty good for wind. A week at that time of year, you should expect to get a variety of conditions, perfect for training. So expect to be on sails ranging from 4.7m-7m, on a typical Alacati day you'd be on 5.5m.

The safe, crystal clear, very shallow flat water provides an excellent windsurfing location for beginners, improvers and advanced intermediates. The relaxed sheltered viewing area and comfortable beachside restaurant provides the perfect setting to watch, unwind and relax after a great day on the water.
