Open Mid/Late April to Mid October

The Procentre is located directly on the leeward side of the spot, just a few meters away from the water. Here the winds blow cross offshore and usually the water is very flat, getting slightly choppy further on the outside. This is an ideal playground for every aspect of windsurfing: from practising all basics, relaxed freeriding, powerful carving gybes to all class and new school freestyle moves. Additionally, when deserted, it can be an outstanding speed sailing venue.

The natural sand bar creates unique conditions. The Centre is located on the flatwater area. Wave sailors have access to wave break over the sandbar.

Fresh water showers and toilets are available at the centre. It also features a sun tent with sun beds free of charge, a relaxing terrace, beachwear shop and a snack bar.

An air speed measurement system is installed at the centre with live relay to the station at the Atrium Prestige hotel and automatically fed to the centre's website. 

At all times a powerful safety motorboat is on standby should you need assistance with staff on duty daily to monitor the sailing sports and provide immediate assistance if needed.

Kitesurfing instruction or rescue service is also available. Kitesurf rental is not available.

Prasonisi is ideally suited to intermediate + level sailors during the main summer months of June to September. However, in April/May and October the wind can be slightly less strong. Along the sand bard there is a 20m wide strip which is shallow enough to stand in for training. A full range of instruction programmes are available from experienced VDWS professional instructors in 1, 5 or 10 hours blocks, private or in groups plus beginner programmes.
