With 21 years experience, Windsurfing Club in Lanzarote is a first class Fanatic Neil Pryde centre. They offer a wide range of the latest boards and sails, instruction for windsurfing or kitesurfing plus trekking, mountaining biking plus social evenings. 

Centre: The Club has over 50 Boards and 90 sails at your disposal. Assistance with rigging and carrying your kit is available. There are changing rooms, showers, snack bar, 'El Niño' Surfshop and a sail repair in the centre. For those with their own kit there is a service and rescue service available at a small charge with rescue boat. Conditions: Depending on the time of year all windsurfers of all levels can find the excellent conditions. 

Location: The centre is located approximately 150m slightly set back from Las Cucharas Beach. The beach is gently shelving with a protected, beginner’s area with some wind shadow. There is a resting/viewing platform & beach guards monitoring the safety of those on the water. Use of shower. Snack bar & surf shop next door. Assistance rigging & carrying. Rescue, repair shop & storage.

NEIL PRYDE SAILS Size 1.5-7.2m². Kids/Junior boards/rigs.

In the wintertime the slalom fans use boards around 290L and sails with 6.5 m2. From mid February on you choose smaller boards for free riding. In spring the wind strength increases you can choose from smaller boards to surf outside the bay enjoying the waves at the reef or the undulation in the open ocean.

Instruction & Courses

Instruction is offered for alll levels from beginner to expert. Children can take windsurf lesons from 8 years and for kiting we recommend a minimum weight of 50kg. Adult courses range from complete beginners and refresher to technique specifics in groups or privately if preferred. VDWS Certificates charged locally. 

Lessons are run on average with one and a half hour sessions. The instructors work with groups of up to four people and the Club has a floating platform where you can have a well earned rest and a motor boat for your security is also at your disposal.  For children and beginners we use special light sails sized in combination with wide and stable boards (F2 Rocky).

For teaching the Club uses Techno 2001 boards, which they recommend as the perfect boards for a fast and easy success to perfect your waterstarts and planing in foot straps.
