Safaga Kitesurf Centre - Safaga - Egypt, Red Sea

The Sportif kitesurfing centre in Safaga, Egypt sits on the beach in front of the Hotel Imperial Shams. A modern, spacious centre provide a full facility for renting the latest North kiteboarding equipment and ION wetsuits with flexible instruction packages.

Location
The dedicated Kitesurf Centre on the beach in front of Hotel Imperial Shams. New, spacious centre. The kite zone is upwind from the windsurfing area and specifically a  zone for kitesurfers. There is a sandy, shallow bay with two large training areas with flatwater. The wind is side offshore/side shore from the left and the off shore chop conditions are ideal for tricks and jumps. The kite-zone infront of the center offers enough space for all kinds of tuition. Advanced kiters will find perfect freeride conditions to play and kite the whole day. There are a few small stones and coral, so it is recommended to wear boots.

Facilities
Accessories available include new ION wetsuits, life vests and helmet. Kitesurf lessons from beginner up to expert level are available and can be booked in either groups or private lessons. For qualified kiters, minimum IKO level 3 standard, the full range of North kites and boards can be rented. There are 2 rescue boats on stand by if needed. SUP boards are available to voucher clients at no extra charge on windless days.

Private Storage: Space available for those with their own equipment at an additional charge. (This is required to be booked in advance to guarantee availability.)

Sports & Activities
Other sports available include windsurfing and SUP. The windsurfing can be book at the windsurfing centre just a few hundred metres along the beach. The are superb downwind excursions from Toubia Island back to Safaga which can be booked locally.

Supervision can be booked locally for those wanting additional support when renting Kitesurf equipment, such as guiding or rescue service.

Lessons are usually 1-3 hours duration

Group lessons are maximum 4 persons. Private lessons or Semi Private lessons (maximum 2 students) are available. If there is only 1 person in a group the time will be reduced but you will receive one to one instruction for the same rate! The content on the lesson can be requested in advance so that those of similar ability and similar goals will be grouped together.
